Valentra products and services
An established leader in formalin production and supply, we deliver product direct to customers using our own infrastructure, including pipelines and rail. We also own and operate barge docks and storage facilities.
Formalin
Valentra products:
Formalin 50, Formalin 44, and Formalin 37/7
Description:
An aqueous solution of Formalin in water, formalin 50 is specifically 50% Formalin solution in water, 44 is 44% solution in water and 37/7 is a blended solution of 37% Formalin and 7% methanol in water
End use:
Formalin has extremely broad uses that touch many of the products we use every day. These include automotive, consumer goods, construction and pharmaceuticals

Description:
Methaform is a highly concentrated solution of formalin and methanol.
End use:
Methaform is used in the production of resins, agricultural products, paints and coatings and industrial products.
Urea Formalin 
Concentrate (UFC)
Valentra products:
UFC85
Description:
UFC is an aqueous solution of Formalin and urea.
End uses:
UFC is used in agricultural products, specifically an anti-clumping agent for urea fertilizer. It is also used to produce resins and in the construction industry.
Valentra is a new company building on a 65-year history of chemical excellence in the US Gulf Coast Region of producing raw chemicals that support manufacturers to develop the products we all use every day. The assets operated by Valentra today originally grew out of the Gail Borden Jr. and Company, which was founded in 1857 to produce condensed milk. In 1960, the Geismar, Louisiana facility was constructed to produce methanol and vinyl acetate.
The first pipeline-integrated facility was constructed in 1976, and this formed a blueprint for growth, including two world-scale formalin pipeline-integrated production facilities and the establishment of two further integrated sites in Baytown, Texas and Luling, Louisiana.
With Valentra’s purchase of these assets, the organization is firmly established as the leading producer of formalin in North America in the heart of the US Gulf Coast region.
